Simulated Process
Simulated process printing is used to reproduce photographic style images on dark colored garments.
Simulated process uses an underbase and a combination of 6 or more colors to reproduce rasterized images.
Metallic ink
Metallic inks can really make a design pop. Caution should be used with any metallic ink as the metallic properties of any ink will begin to fade when washed.
Natural Suede
Natural suede inks simulate suede. The look may vary from garment to garment. Natural suede inks hold most of their form even after washing.
Glow In The Dark
Glow in the dark ink may be printed on almost any item. It’s phosphorescent characteristics allow it to glow at night but be barely visible during the day. The ink has a slightly glossy look in natural lighting.
Burn-Out
Burn-out printing utilizes an acidic process to remove the natural fibers in a garment. (on a 50/50 the polyester will remain while the cotton is eaten away) Garments must be washed by Impress Designs before use. Allow more time for delivery.
3-5 TIMES THE REGULAR PRINT RATE
Must be approved by production before an order can be accepted
Oversized
Oversized printing is any print that has width greater than 15” or a height greater than 16”. See the print restriction sheet to determine max print size.
All-Over-Printing
AOP is defined for our purposes as printing the shirt in a manner that keeps the garment from being loaded on the pallet through the shirt tube. This process is extremely limited and generally not recommended. If you are interested in this process, please let a member of our team know and we will guide you through the process.
Glitter Screen Printing
The most common form of printing glitter involves printing a clear carrier ink that has been mixed in with glitter flakes. We typically stock a basic glitter, but upon request and quote we may be able to bring in additional colors of glitter for you. The standard glitter is typically added on top of other printed colors and adds glitter to the areas you require.
Reflective Screen Printing
Reflective ink printing is a type of printing that uses reflective pigments to create designs that reflect light. This technology is often used in safety clothing and accessories, but it has also become a popular choice for t-shirt designs. When light hits the printed design, it reflects back in a bright and eye-catching way, making the wearer more visible in low-light conditions. Reflective Printing Inks are not nearly as reflective as other materials. We typically recommend reflective vinyl for this process, but in certain situations reflective screen printing is a good option.
Solar Reactive Inks (Photochromic Ink Printing)
Photochromic ink printing is a cutting-edge technology that allows for the creation of unique and dynamic designs on t-shirts. This type of ink changes color when exposed to sunlight, which means that the design on the t-shirt will appear differently depending on whether the wearer is indoors or outdoors. This creates a fun and interactive experience for the wearer, as well as a visually interesting shirt that is sure to turn heads.
Restrictions: This process should only be done on white shirts. It is best designed with a colored or black outline around the color that changes. Limited colors and availability exist. This process is very specialized, please let our team know if you are interested in this process to learn more.
